Crews responding to supercell storm damage in Alice Springs

Power and Water’s crews will work through the night to safely restore power in Alice Springs after a supercell storm swept through the town about 4pm this afternoon.

About 4,000 customers are without power as a result of the storm’s damage.

Power and Water’s priority is the safety of our community and our crews.

Our crews are assessing the damage and will systematically and progressively repair the power network when it is safe to do so.

Powerlines are dangerous.

Always assume they are live and stay away from any fallen powerlines, including service connection lines within you property.

Customers with damage to their property can find out what to do at Electricity service line on your property | Power and Water Corporation (powerwater.com.au)

Anyone in Alice Springs without power is encouraged to report the outage to Power and Water through our customer centre on 1800 245 090, via the Power and Water app, or the website Report an outage | Power and Water Corporation (powerwater.com.au)
