The Power and Water Corporation continues to put Territorians first during this lockdown period.

The lockdown restrictions mean that contact centre teams in both Darwin and Alice Springs must work from home.

Contact centre team members are standing by to serve customers via digital options including email, Facebook direct messaging and online forms found on the Power and Water website.

Phone calls are being managed by a small team in Katherine and should only be made for reporting faults and emergencies. If you do not have access to any of the digital options above and your reason for contacting us is not of an urgent nature, please wait until after the lockdown ends to phone us.

We want to reassure our water and electricity customers that there will be no disconnections or restrictions to supply for late payment of their respective bills during lockdown.

If you are experiencing financial hardship due to the lockdown, there is no need to ring us. Simply go to Apply for a payment extension and submit your request. One of our customer service officers will contact you as soon as possible to discuss a time to pay arrangement that suits your individual circumstances.

Rest assured, you will not be disconnected during lockdown.

Please note that this arrangement only applies for the duration of the lockdown and will be reviewed again on Friday when we have been advised of the lockdown status. Once the lockdown has been lifted, our usual practises will be reinstated.

Best options:

To report a fault and emergency phone 1800 245 092 between 8am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday, and 1800 245 090 outside of these business hours.
