Alice Springs power supply update

Power was restored to almost all Alice Springs customers overnight after services were damaged in Saturday’s severe weather event.

Bringing the power back on safely is Power and Water’s priority.

About 60 customers remain without power due to damage to the electrical service line connecting the property to the overhead network.

These customers will need to have a Northern Territory licenced electrician carry out repairs and issue a Certificate of Compliance before Power and Water can reconnect the power.

Four Power and Water crews are on the ground in Alice Springs today, reconnecting properties as Certificates of Compliance are registered with Power and Water.

Customers with damage to their property can find out what to do at Electricity service line on your property | Power and Water Corporation (powerwater.com.au)

Anyone in Alice Springs who remains without power is encouraged to report the outage to Power and Water through our customer centre on 1800 245 090, via the Power and Water app, or the website Report an outage | Power and Water Corporation (powerwater.com.au).

Ends.
