In 2014 the Northern Territory Government introduced structural reforms to the electricity supply chain. This resulted in generation and retail functions being separated from Power and Water.
Our responsibility in the supply chain now is transporting electricity from generators to end-users as demonstrated in the diagram.
We are the sole network service provider in the Northern Territory responsible for delivering, operating and maintaining electricity transmission and distribution assets to deliver safe, reliable and affordable electricity to Territorians
