If your property has been damaged by flooding, storm impacts, or if your electrical service line has been pulled away or disconnected for safety, the electrical wiring at your property may no longer be safe.

Before power can be reconnected, an NT-licensed electrician must inspect the wiring and provide a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) for Electrical Safety. This certificate confirms that your electrical system is safe and that it can be reconnected without risk to you, your property, or our crews.

Once the CoC has been issued and provided to us we can safely restore power to your property.

More about Certificates of Compliance

The Northern Territory's Electricity Safety Regulator requires that all electrical work, including new installations, changes, additions, and fixes, must be recorded on a CoC in a way that follows the Electricity Reform (Safety and Technical) Regulations 2000 .

A Certificate of Compliance (CoC) is a legal document issued by a Northern Territory licensed electrician to record the details of the electrical work they have performed, as required by the Electricity Reform Act 2000 and the Electricity Reform (Safety and Technical) Regulations 2000 .

You can find more information on the NT Work Safe Certificate of Compliance (CoC) - Electrical Safety website about CoC .

A CoC confirms the electrical work completed meets all the necessary regulatory requirements and is safe to connect to the electricity network.
