More properties have had power safely restored overnight following the impact of Thursday’s supercell storm.

Safely restoring services to our customers is Power and Water’s priority.

Crews are making good progress to reconnect remaining homes and properties that sustained damage to the service line connecting the property to the overhead network.

A Northern Territory licenced electrician is required to carry out repairs and issue a Certificate of Compliance before Power and Water can reconnect the power.

Six crews are on the ground today progressively reconnecting properties as Certificates of Compliance are received.

Power is expected be restored to the majority of remaining properties by the end of today.
