The Power and Water Corporation team is celebrating a raft of awards and finalist placements across a range of areas including excellence in innovation, leadership and collaboration.

Chief Executive Officer Djuna Pollard said the recognition reflects the dedication and expertise of a diverse team that delivers across the Territory.

‘These awards highlight the passion and collaboration that drive our people every day,’ Ms Pollard said.

‘From helping schools embrace sustainability to delivering essential services in remote communities and fostering strong partnerships with Aboriginal businesses, our team is shaping a more sustainable and resilient future for all Territorians.’

Most recently, the organisation took home multiple awards at the 2025 Northern Territory Water Awards as part of the NT Water in the Bush Conference. They were:

  • Water Professional of the Year: Trevor Durling
  • Young Water Professional of the Year: Mathilda Lipscombe
  • Organisational Excellence Award: A joint award with Department of Lands, Planning and Environment for the Water Demand Management Strategy
  • Infrastructure Project Innovation Award (Regional): The Remote Water Team, a joint initiative with Department of Lands, Planning and Environment, Department of Health and other contributing organisations.

Power and Water was also a finalist for its System Operator Readiness Program.

The awards celebrate innovation, collaboration and leadership in water management, recognising individuals and teams creating more sustainable and resilient outcomes. Winners will represent the Territory at the national Australian Water Association Awards in May next year.

Power and Water also recently won the Best Ally Business of the Year Award at the Northern Territory Indigenous Business Network Blak Business Awards 2025, recognising the organisation’s ongoing support for Aboriginal businesses and communities, and was a finalist in the Chief Minister’s Awards for Excellence in the Public Sector Outstanding Partnership category for helping more than 150 schools develop sustainable economic practices.

Elsewhere, General Manager of the Darwin Project Delivery Management team, Ahmad Mazloum, was recently a finalist in Engineers Australia NT Division’s NT Professional Engineer of the Year, and Power and Water is a finalist in the following 4 categories in the Australian HR Institute Awards, with winners announced in December:

  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Executive Champion of the Year for CEO Djuna Pollard
