Power and Water is preparing for the impact Severe Tropical Cyclone Narelle (STC Narelle) is expected to bring to our region over the coming days.

Our crews are prepared, with teams ready to respond to support communities who may be affected by severe weather.

We are undertaking a series of preparatory measures to keep our essential services online for as long as it safe.

We remind Territorians that severe weather often impacts our essential power and water services. We will work to restore services as soon as it is safe to do so.

Eastern top end communities are now on cyclone warning, with a flood watch issued for Top End regions. We are monitoring the situation closely.

The safety of our crews and customers is our priority. Power, water and sewerage services are expected to be impacted by STC Narelle.

Residents in areas facing severe weather should ensure they are prepared to be without water and power for at least 72 hours.

Residents who rely on life-support equipment should be ready to enact their emergency back-up plan if power or water outages occur.

Stay away from damaged infrastructure including fallen trees and powerlines. Stay out of flood waters that may be contaminated with sewerage.
