People’s Panel

Have a say in shaping our services for the Territory. We’re bringing together Territory customers to share their experiences, priorities and perspectives and help inform the future of Power and Water services.

The People’s Panel is an ongoing forum where members can learn more about our services, discuss issues that matter to customers and communities and provide feedback on our future planning and regulatory proposals.

What is the People's Panel?

The People’s Panel will bring together a minimum of 25 residential customers, business customers and advocacy groups from across the Territory.

Members will share their experiences and perspectives on provided services and explore important issues and trade-offs.

The Panel helps us better understand what matters to our customers and communities so their perspectives can inform our planning, services and regulatory proposals.

You don’t need to be an expert in electricity or water. We’re looking for people with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.

People’s Panel members:

  • share what matters to you and your community
  • learn more about how Power and Water services work and how decisions are made
  • discuss issues including affordability, accessibility, sustainability and safety
  • explore different options and trade-offs with other members
  • provide feedback that helps inform future planning, services and regulatory proposals.

What's involved?

The People’s Panel is an ongoing commitment, rather than a one-off consultation.

Members will generally meet at least 3 times a year for a term of up to 3 years. Meetings may be held in person, online or in a hybrid format, with some reading and preparation between sessions.

Residential and eligible business customer members are paid for approved meeting and preparation time. Approved travel is also supported.
