From local footy matches and cultural celebrations to family-friendly festivals, we’re here to help you keep your community cool, hydrated and eco-conscious. Power and Water is proud to support community events throughout the Northern Territory by offering free use of our water trailers and refill stations.
Our hydration units are a great way to promote sustainability and reduce single-use plastic waste, while also encouraging healthy habits at your event.
What we have available to refresh your event:
Portable water refilling stations
For smaller gatherings, our portable refill stations may be the best fit. They come in 2 sizes and are quick to set up. All that’s required is a nearby tap and a shaded spot to help keep the water cool. We can also provide an esky to help maintain water temperature during the day in the Northern region.
Refill stations are currently available in Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs. If your event is in another part of the Territory, let us know - our team will do our best to support you.
Water trailers
We have large water trailers stationed in Darwin and Alice Springs. These are designed to support larger gatherings and come equipped with 6 taps - 3 on each side - delivering a steady flow of chilled water throughout the day. They’re highly visible and a great addition to any outdoor event.
To use a water trailer at your event, the location needs access to both power and safe drinking water (potable water).
What you need to know:
To help us plan and support your event, please submit your request at least 3 weeks before the event date. This gives us time to confirm availability and make necessary arrangements.
We prioritise events that promote community wellbeing, including but not limited to, cultural diversity, family connection, youth engagement, sport, health, inclusion, education and sustainability. To remain neutral and inclusive, Power and Water is unable to support events associated with political parties or electorate campaigns.
Once the equipment is in your care, event organisers are responsible for its use, setup and return, including any promotional materials we provide. When applying, please let us know exactly where you plan to set up the trailer or refill station. The location should be shaded and have access to potable water.
Making a booking:
All bookings are subject to availability and reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We aim to support as many events as possible, though requests may be declined or withdrawn if they don’t meet our guidelines or if unexpected circumstances arise.
