If the service wire to your home is damaged, continue to Steps 2–4.
Power line from your house, or flooding
If the service wire to your home is damaged, or your electrical installation has been affected by flooding, additional checks may be required before power can be safely reconnected.
Continue to Steps 2–4 below.
Get your property inspected
Arrange for a Northern Territory licensed electrician to check the property and verify electrical safety.
Get a Certificate of Compliance
If your property requires an electrical inspection before reconnection, your electrician must issue a Certificate of Compliance once the necessary checks and repairs are complete.
Arrange reconnection
Contact Power and Water on 1800 245 092 to organise reconnection.
During major outages
Power and Water may instruct you to leave your Certificate of Compliance inside your meter box rather than contact us by phone.
