No Water, No Life

Water has shaped the landscape and the culture of the Northern Territory for over 60,000 years and is just as important today. Water lets people live on country. Without water, there is no life. We need your help to value the water coming out of your taps just as much as we do our natural rivers and waterholes.

Turn off taps

Saving water is as easy as making sure you turn off your taps. Never walk away from a flowing tap, always turn it off.

Take short showers

Showers use the most water inside your home. Keep your showers to 4 minutes to help save water in your community.

Look for leaks

A dripping tap or a leaking toilet can waste over 200,000 litres of water per year. Wet patches on the ground could suggest a leak.
