Power and Water Corporation provides updates and information to the community via social media.

Power and Water Corporation will share different types of information through social media including:

  • unplanned power and water outages, including those relating to generation issues from Territory Generation
  • updates on projects that impact the community such as scheduled planned works and outages
  • water and energy saving tips
  • safety information, including important information in times of cyclone or other emergency
  • customer support and advice
  • community projects and partnerships that we are involved in or support.


We monitor, moderate and regularly post updates on our social media accounts between 8am and 6pm weekdays. During times of interruptions or severe weather we will provide ongoing updates to keep you informed of important information.
