    • Darwin households use more than twice the amount of water as the rest of Australia
    • 60% of our household water is used in the garden
    • The Top End is not immune to changing weather patterns as evidenced by a poor wet season in 2005
    • A rapidly increasing population is placing more demand on water resources
    • Darwin River Dam is relatively shallow, the majority of water is lost through evaporation

we could save, and the options available to meet future demand.
