Power and Water launch new Cyclone and Storm Centre on websitePower and Water Corporation have set up a dedicated Cyclone and Storm Centre area on their website. The new website Centre provides a range of information for customers before, during and after cyclone, severe storm and flood conditions. General Manager, Retail, Jim Bamber, said “We believe that the Cyclone and Storm Centre on our website will be a valuable resource. Customers accessing the Centre will know how we prepare for cyclone conditions, what they can do until services are restored, vital safety issues and of course get updates about getting things back to normal after a major event. “There are other excellent cyclone information and preparation sites such as the Emergency Services and Bureau of Meteorology sites and while we have links to those, we don’t aim to replicate them – our information focuses on power, water and sewerage services”. The Cyclone and Storm Centre will sit within the website and can be accessed at all times. However, in the event of a cyclone, severe storm or flooding (such as the Katherine floods) affecting electricity, water or sewerage, the Centre and in particular ‘Current Bulletins’, will be the first thing people see when they come to our site. Some of the major areas that the Cyclone and Storm Centre covers are: The Cyclone and Storm Centre can be found at: www.powerwater.com.au Contact: |
