Cyclone Helen Power Restoration Update #2

Power and Water Corporation advise that as of 4.30pm today the following suburbs were still in the process of having power repaired and restored:

Due to the damage caused by Cyclone Helen, multiple faults to lines in some areas are causing them to trip again requiring further investigation and repairs.

It is expected that most of the Darwin urban area will have power restored by late today or early tomorrow as crews continue to work on 12 hour rotating shifts throughout the night.

However, most of the rural area from Howard Springs to Adelaide River plus Dundee Beach and Mandorah are still unlikely to have power restored for 24 – 36 hours.
