The Northern Territory’s Power and Water Corporation is the latest recruit to the savewater!® Alliance Inc., a one-stop-shop for water conservation information.

Mr Nigel Finney, CEO, savewater!® Alliance Inc said “We are thrilled that Power and Water has joined the savewater!® Alliance Inc and are excited to welcome another partner that shares our vision for a sustainable water future”.

Developed to create a central resource for information about water conservation, the alliance works with member water businesses, government agencies and product companies to deliver water conservation programs throughout Australia.

“Conditions are very different across the Territory and whether you live in the Top End savannah or arid Central area, water is a precious resource.  Recent community surveys confirm that like us, the community is concerned that water isn’t wasted and yet we are the highest water users in the country.

“Becoming a member of the alliance will give us, and more importantly our customers, access to a wealth of information about what we can all do to save water.  The resources on the website are fun, innovative and easy to access” said Paul Heaton, General Manager, Water Services, Power and Water.

Web-based, savewater! ® offers a combination of resources and practical programs to help all Australians change the way they use water. The site provides independent, expert advice; information on water conservation tailored for local conditions, access to water and energy saving products, real life examples of water conservation in action and encourages the use of local knowledge, experience and products.

There is also a great education section and online games and competitions for the whole family.  To find out more, visit savewater!® Alliance Inc
