Australian Water Association

The Australian Water Association (AWA) was established in 1962 and back then it faced the challenges of post-war installation of water and sanitation across Australia. Now the AWA addresses very different challenges and operates in a dramatically different environment where the community are move involved in taking steps to implement water solutions for the future.

Power and Water sponsors AWA educational conferences held in the Northern Territory. These conferences bring together water professionals from across the Territory to discuss current and emerging water issues. These conferences also help to promote the importance of water and the need for wise and sustainable water use and management within rural and regional areas.

Power and Water's General Manager Remote Services, Darryl Day is the current National president of the Australian Water Association.
