20 April, 2006 Katherine Goes Country for Music MusterThe Power and Water Corporation is this year supporting the local music scene by sponsoring the annual Katherine Country Music Muster. Locals and visitors to the Katherine region will enjoy a highlight of the local annual music calendar, which will kick off with a street parade on Friday 28 April, and the weekend of music and social activities will run through until Sunday 30 April. This year’s Music Muster line up includes The Wolverines, Sunny Cowgirls, Paul Costa, Ronni Rae Rivers, Warren H Williams, Leslie Avril, Keith Jamieson and Alisha Smith, Matt Manning, Red Hot Poker Dots, Grant Luhrs and the Chook Raffle Band and Julie Perandes. The Music Muster also provides an opportunity for local talent to perform. The Territory Showcase concert features the Telstra Road to Tamworth winners Jessica Mabouy and Jackie Izod and Katherine performers Kate Oliver and Marcus Bader. Power and Water sponsorship manager Donna Boyce said the Corporation was pleased to be a sponsor for this major event on the Australian country music calendar.
