COOLmob
COOLmob is a community group with offices in Darwin and Alice Springs, who specialise in helping households reduce their energy consumption with the ultimate goal of slowing down climate change.
The benefits of using less energy in your home means you can save money and reduce your impact on the environment.
Hundreds of Territory households are members of COOLmob, and take advantage of their services to reduce energy use, which include:
Home energy audits:
An energy audit can help customers determine how much energy their home uses and how to reduce electricity consumption, which will reduce power bills.
If you would like a home energy audit, they are available for $10 in the Darwin, Palmerston and rural areas, and $10 in Alice Springs.
Retrofit Days and discounts:
COOLmob members can enjoy some great discounts when purchasing new energy efficient goods and services from a range of providers.
Information materials:
COOLmob has a wide range of information materials, such as the Greenhouse Friendly Habits in the Top End booklet that outlines ways to reduce greenhouse gases. These are available to everyone.
Advice:
COOLmob’s coordinators and volunteers are experts in providing advice on how to reduce energy consumption and green house gas emissions.
