Dressage Contest Riding High with Help from Power and Water

Equestrians from across the Territory have been invited to participate in the Northern Territory Pony Club 2005 Dressage Championships, to be held at the Darwin Showgrounds this Sunday.

Champion  Pony Club was Noonamah with Berrimah Pony Club Reserve Champions“This is the first time the Championships have been hosted by the Darwin Horse and Pony Club,” said the Club President, Erica Seipel.

“And, thanks to a little help from the Power and Water Corporation, our club was also able to secure two prominent interstate judges to preside over the competition.

“The Dressage Championships are shaping up as a fantastic event that will allow riders from right across the Territory to showcase their talents.”

Berrimah Pony Club also won the Best Presented TeamAs the main sponsor, Power and Water has provided financial support as well as water bottles to keep participants hydrated on the day.

Power and Water’s sponsorship manager Donna Boyce said the Corporation is delighted to be able to provide support for this sporting event.

“Members of the Darwin Horse and Pony Club have worked extremely hard to bring this competition together, including attracting two well-regarded interstate judges,” said Donna.

Presentations in the five categories: Preliminary, Novice, Elementary, Best Presented Team and High Point Horse/Rider Award are expected to commence at 2:30pm.
