Darwin Voices Sing Classical TaleThe voices of Darwin area singers will ring out with the sounds of the classical period when OperatuNiTy performs Haydn’s The Songstress. Power and Water has sponsored OperatuNiTy’s 2005 production, following its support for the 2003 and 2004 productions, Trial by Jury and Iolanthe respectively. The Songstress will be performed at the Charles Darwin University Theatre, Casuarina on 18 and 19 November Tickets are available from Darwin Entertainment Centre @ $25 or $20 concession. Power and Water sponsorship manager Donna Black said the Corporation was pleased to help OperatuNiTy. “OperatuNiTy’s mission is to give singers in the Darwin area the chance to perform and create good quality music for the entertainment of the audience. In addition to the opera, Penny Reiss and Adrian Walter will perform violin and guitar duos that they showcased at their recent appearance in Italy, including one by Paganini. Contact: |
