3 November, 2005 Promoting Excellence in Energy Efficient HousingThe spotlight will shine on energy efficiency housing later this month, thanks to a partnership between the Housing Industry Association and the Power and Water Corporation. Power and Water has sponsored the Energy Efficient Housing Category of the 2005 HIA Award, to be presented at a gala industry dinner on 19 November. The awards celebrate success and achievement in the Northern Territory building industry, and are a symbol of excellence in housing. Power and Water sponsorship manager Donna Boyce said the Corporation was pleased to work with the HIA to foster excellence in the design and construction of energy efficient housing. “Over a number of years we have recognised the achievements of community organisations, businesses and individuals in reducing the use of energy through our Environmental Excellence Awards,” she said. “We also try to employ energy-efficient principles ourselves, as we did when redeveloping the Ben Hammond Complex.” “Power and Water congratulates the HIA on its part in encouraging reduced energy use, and we look forward to congratulating the winner in this category.” Contact: Contact: |
