If the service line that connects your home to the main power network is damaged, you will need to arrange for a licensed electrician to make repairs and provide you with a Certificate of Compliance before Power and Water can reconnect your home.The Certificate of Compliance confirms that your house is safe to re-energise.
When you have the certificate, call Power and Water on 1800 245 092 to arrange reconnection.
The crew will need to see the Certificate of Compliance before connecting you.
If you won’t be home, make sure your Certificate of Compliance is placed in your meter box so it can be sighted.
If your meter box is not easily accessible, call Power and Water on 1800 245 092 to let them know where you will leave it.
