Track the truck

The truck transporting the new engine for Owen Springs Power Station to Alice Springs left from 25km south of Adelaide River this morning.

It is travelling along the Stuart Highway at about 40km/hr with police and heavy vehicle escorts. It is anticipated to reach Katherine around midday. Residents and businesses in the area may experience power outages as powerlines are de-energised for the truck to pass safely. Crews will be working to minimise the duration of outages.
