The second of three dual-fuel engines for Owen Springs Power Station has been delivered safely to the new power station, 25km south of Alice Springs.The convoy and a 70 metre trailer bearing the 230 tonne, 10.9 megawatt engine has travelled 1,500km from East Arm Wharf in Darwin to Alice Springs over five days.
The three MAN Diesel engines will form part of the $126 million project to cater for Alice Springs' electricity demand growth.
