1000 reasons to smile

The 2010 Melaleuca Awards Chairman’s Award winner Saffrron Restaurant today donated their $1,000 prize money to the Environment Centre NT.

As part of the Chairman’s Award prize package, the winner was invited to donate $1,000 to the environmental organisation of their choice.

Saffrron Resturant owner Selvam Kandasamy chose to donate it to the Environment Centre to keep the money local and contribute towards the environmental work the organisation undertakes.

Dr Stuart Blanch, Environment Centre NT Co-ordinator, was appreciative of the generous donation and advised the money would go towards a local environmental cause.
