Professional Manager of the Year (Public Sector), Management Excellent Awards, Australian Institute of Management (AIM).

Jim Bamber was named the Professional Manager of the Year, Public Sector, at the AIM Awards on Saturday night.

Chair AIM NT Council, Marie-Louise Pearson FAIM said judges were impressed by the high calibre of finalists, representing a diverse range of organisations and industry sectors.

" Jim Bamber from the Power and Water Corporation was praised for his exceptional management skills and committed customer focus. Judges said Mr Bamber was an instigator of change, a strong project manager and an exceptional leader.”

This AIM Award category is for senior managers, executives and leaders of medium to large enterprises who work for their organisation in a professional management capacity. The Award recognises those managers who have made management their profession - ordinary people who do extraordinary things for their organisations on a day-to-day basis.
