Sewerage upgrades for Katherine, Borroloola

The Katherine wastewater plant, about 5km south of the town, will be upgraded to meet new wastewater discharge licence conditions.

Tenders have been called to construct additional lagoons and ancillary works to allow for additional capacity and enhanced treatment.

Tenders are also being called for major sewerage system enhancements in Borroloola. Sewer reticulation, pump stations and pond upgrades are proposed, which will allow servicing to the majority of the commercial and residential areas.
