Power and Water apprentice and linesman, Richard Baldock was presented with the Territory Construction Association, NECA Electrical Apprentice of the Year Award at the recent Territory Constriction Association Awards.Employee and Organisational Services General Manager Rebecca Kardos said, “Our apprentices are trained to national standards in a range of trades from electrical fitters to linespersons and these types of awards are a great acknowledgement of these skills and I congratulate Richard on his achievement.
“With a nation-wide skill shortage facing organisations, Power and Water believes investing in skilled staff is critical to providing current and future essential services for Territorians.
“Apprenticeships with Power and Water are highly regarded by applicants. Richard and his colleagues make great ambassadors for promoting the value of an apprenticeship and Power and Water.”
Richard also won the Territory Construction Association, NECA Electrical Apprentice of the Year Award last year and a Group Training NT award earlier this year.
