Power and Water to attend Global Water Summit 2017

Power and Water’s Chief Executive, Michael Thomson has been invited to join a consortium of Australian and New Zealand water utility representatives at the 2017 Global Water Summit in Madrid, Spain from 24-25 April.

Now in its 11th year, The Global Water Summit is widely known as the leading water industry conference.

“The Global Water Summit is a chance to hear from pre-eminent professionals in the industry from around the world, on the challenges they face and the innovative solutions they develop in the provision of safe and reliable water and wastewater services. I will bring these learnings back with me to the Northern Territory as we strive to meet our own challenges in the supply of water and wastewater services across the Northern Territory. “ Mr Thomson said.

On his return Mr Thomson will report to the Power and Water board upon the conclusion of the Summit, detailing his participation and insights.

Mr Thomson will be attending the Global Water Summit as a guest of the organiser and they have agreed to reimburse all expenses incurred as a result of the travel. Therefore neither Power and Water or the Northern Territory Government will incur any costs as a result of this trip.
