This new position will manage the operation of the Weddell and Berrimah power stations to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient production of electricity for the Darwin/Katherine grid.

It will also provide on-site backup at Channel Island Power Station.

Experience in the operation and/or maintenance of power stations is essential, along with the ability to identify and resolve electricity generation equipment faults, to design and implement operator interfaces to control equipment.

Two exciting positions are now available to provide infrastructure technical support (primarily water and sewerage) for various development programs in remote communities in the Northern Territory.

With a degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline, you will help develop and deliver water and sewerage infrastructure. This will include ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes and guidelines. You will have experience managing the implementation and commissioning of water supply and sewerage system extensions.
 
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills will also be well regarded.

Power and Water is seeking a highly motivated person to join the Business Systems and Information Management team.

You will be responsible for the provision of analysis of requests for information, systems enhancements and new systems and developing appropriate proposals, business cases and project plans.

Based at Channel Island Power Station, this position will suit someone with a track record in maintenance management and the application of computer-based maintenance management systems, combined with experience-based knowledge of power station plant, including gas turbines and auxiliary equipment.

Three Permanent Positions Available

We are seeking a High Voltage Field Operator to work in a multi-skilled team environment on the installation, commissioning, maintenance and operation of the High Voltage power network electrical infrastructure with switching experience on11/22kv networks and/or 66/132kv. 

You will have a current “A” grade Electrical Licence endorsed as a Linesman, Electrical Fitter/Mechanic or Fitter or Mechanic, a High Voltage Operator Authorisation, and an NT drivers licence.

You will be required to participate on a roster system and perform some after hours work and the level of appointment will depend on your experience.   The role will also involve after hours fault switching.

The Works Administration Officer provides administration services to help plan and implement capital investment, repairs and maintenance programs for our power networks team.

The person we are seeking will have a sound knowledge of project administration or financial administration and effective organisational skills. You will also have a proven ability to manage information, use various computer applications and financial management systems.
