Frequently asked questions

How do I get the refreshed app?

If you already have the current app installed on your mobile device, you just need to update your existing app.

Alternatively you can download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

What new features does the updated app have?

  • You can submit a streetlight fault using the new mapping system.
  • Better graphics and a modern look and feel.
  • When submitting a meter reading you can select the type of reading, eg import or PV.
  • New layout of the customer feedback form.
  • Contacts page with links to our social media networks.

Can I report an emergency via the app?

You can access our emergency line from the contact page of the app, however Power and Water’s app is not a reporting tool for emergencies. In an emergency, call 1800 245 090 immediately, 24 hours, 7 days.

What can I do if I have an issue with the app?

If you have an issue with the app please refer to the known issues list below. If the issue isn’t listed, you can report it to us by completing the smartphone app issue form on the Power and Water website. Alternatively you can call us on 1800 245 092 or email customerservice@powerwater.com.au.

Uploading a picture with dark lighting displays an error message which causes the app to automatically shut down. Error message: 'Unfortunately, PowerWater has stopped’.

Forms with photos attachment feature

When users attach an additional photo from the phone’s library, the app will prompt the customer to change phone settings to allow the app to access the library. When the customer changes the settings, the customer will have to complete the form again from the beginning.

Pay bills

NAB tile is overlapping the amount field on the screen. Until NAB is able to fix this issue, customers will not be able to pay their bills through the mobile app.

Report a problem

Pre-population of locations is inconsistent: Electrical/Water/Electrical damage - map selection populates location field, manual typing does not move the map to the location and the pre-population fields cannot be selected.
