School visits to our facilities
All Power and Water sites are operational workplaces, with occupational health and safety considerations. However, in some cases it is possible to arrange school visits to sites. Depending on our workload, some of our professional staff are available to come to schools to make presentations about our operations. Call 1800 245 092 to make further enquiries.
Resource conservation program – Remote Operations
Power and Water has developed a comprehensive program to educate remote communities about the use and conservation of water and electricity. The team have developed materials for presentation to community council clerks, housing groups, resource centre's, traditional owners (men’s and women’s groups), health clinics and schools. This education program continues with priority across the Northern Territory – communities can contact Remote Operations for more information on (08) 8924 5194.
Maps of our operations
There are four maps on our site. They show how widespread our operations are, and how they are not interconnected, as in other places in Australia. You can see a map of the Northern Territory’s electricity supply, water supply, sewerage services and indigenous essential services.
Glossary
There are many words in the electricity and water industries that are not easy to understand. Read our glossary to help out.
