Power and Water Corporation provides electricity, water and sewerage services to a large and diverse community. We are one of the Territory's largest organisations with a proud history of supporting our communities. Our involvement ranges from the arts, sports, education, environment, business and community, reflecting the diversity of our customers.
Power and Water has always been a supporter of "grass roots" organisations.
We support community groups, projects, events and programs that align with our corporate values of commitment, integrity, safety, teamwork and communication.
Power and Water sees this program as an opportunity to build relationships with our many stakeholders including customers, industry and the wider community in which we operate. Sponsorships must be Territory-based and have wide-reaching benefits.

Competition for sponsorship dollars is increasing. To ensure your proposal receives full consideration, please fill out the attached form addressing all the essential criteria.

Power and Water has six rounds of funding each year. Assessments wil be made in January, March, May, July, September and November. Power and Water requires at least 12 weeks to give your sponsorship proposal due consideration and will contact you for more information if required. You will receive a formal response in writing in due course.
Power and Water will not support:
- Opportunities that fall outside the Northern Territory
- Political parties or lobby groups
- Commercial and government bodies
- Events or activities that are divisive
- Individuals or individual teams' travel or study support
- Religious groups (although charity related activities will be considered)
- Indirect appeals inlcuding charity dinners, conferences and seminars unless they have direct links to Power and Water and its business
- Projects with multiple sponsors or partners
- Providing free electricity or water
- Capital works, operating costs or salaries
- Events and activities that could be considered a health or safety risk.

Young Achiever Awards - Power and Water is the proud sponsor of the Science and Engineering category to honour young scientists and engineers who are responsible for many innovative ideas that benefit our community.
InCite Youth Arts provides mentoring for young aerosol artists in Alice Springs. Power and Water first partnered with this program in 2008 when the crew created artwork on the Milner pump station.
Tennis NT - The Power and Water Regional Development Program is offering tennis to young Territorians who otherwise might not have the opportunity to develop their skills. We support coaches working in Darwin, Katherine, Alice Springs, Gove and surrounding remote areas.
Camp Quality NT helps bring laughter into children whose lives are touched by cancer. Power and Water first partnered with Camp Quality in 2010 with a beach-front seafood picnic fundraiser.
The Darwin Entertainment Centre is Darwin's leading performance arts centre. Power and Water is pleased to sponsor the Centre that provides a vibrant and diverse range of entertainment to the Top End.
COOLmob Energy Audits - COOLmob is a community group with offices in Darwin and Alice Springs, that specialises in helping households reduce their energy consumption with the ultimate goal of slowing down climate change. Power and Water sponsors COOLmob to provide subsidised home energy audits ($10 in Darwin and $10 in Alice Springs). An energy audit will determine how much energy your home uses and where you can start making savings.
